Ricardo Gómez Cabaleiro

Bachelor of Laws. Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law.

As attorney-partner of LEHCAB, Ricardo has defended the interests of the most relevant holders and users of intellectual property rights such as, inter alia, Movistar+, Indra Sistemas, the International Olympic Committee, Calabuch, and well-known authors, actors, publishers, record labels, and audiovisual producers. He has also worked in conjunction with various Spanish and international management organisations (incorporated in the EU and the United States).

He has also participated in a number of regulatory procedures and negotiations and has successfully handled some of the most important judicial proceedings from the past few decades in relation to intellectual property, both in Spain and internationally.

In addition to being a managing partner at LEHCAB, he heads up the Institute for the Protection of Rights in the Digital Environment, which provides counselling and protection services relating to works and performances protected on the Internet for some of the most important right holders in the world.

Before founding LEHCAB, which he has been managing since 2009, he practised law at several firms as a specialist in procedural law and held significant responsibilities, such as Director of Instituto Autor, and was responsible for developing the first intellectual property case law database.
